This month, we continued to celebrate the opening of the Women’s Leadership Center at Williams Bay with A Dream Built: From Vision to Reality, a weekend dedicated to the friends and supporters who helped bring the Center to life.
It was everything the Center was designed to be. Women from across industries, generations, and disciplines came together to share their expertise and explore questions that reach far beyond any one field.
Conversations took us from the far reaches of the universe with astronauts and astrophysicists to the ways architecture can shape our relationship with the natural world. We explored what it takes to prepare women for the highest levels of leadership and how the future of work is changing for family caregivers. Along the way, we heard from women whose careers have been devoted to turning bold ideas into making a lasting impact.
That range of perspectives is at the heart of the WLC. We believe something different becomes possible when women bring their knowledge and experiences together across fields. New ideas emerge, relationships take shape, and conversations can become the starting point for meaningful change.
As WLC Founder Ann Drake reminded us all, the real measure of the Center won’t be what we built. It will be what other women are able to build because it exists.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this dream a reality.
