The Women’s Leadership Center at Williams Bay was designed to spark consequential conversations—the kind that can happen when accomplished women leaders with different expertise and experiences come together to reflect, learn from one another, and collaborate on fresh approaches to complex problems.
That idea came to life last month when we brought together women working across fields in engineering and innovation, from robotics, construction management, and energy to gravitational waves, particle physics, quantum science, data security, regenerative medicine, and protein synthesis.
They were invited to talk about big questions they’re facing: Where is progress happening? And if it isn’t, what’s in the way? Are changes coming we aren’t prepared for? What new ideas are emerging? And what might we learn if we look beyond the boundaries of our disciplines?
These are exactly the kinds of conversations the WLC was created to make possible, bringing together leaders who might not otherwise find themselves in the same room and seeing what can emerge from the connections between them.
