We’re pleased to share an important milestone for AWESOME (Achieving Women’s Excellence in Supply Chain Operations, Management, and Education). As of January 1, 2026, AWESOME is part of the Women's Leadership Center at Williams Bay (WLC).
In 2013, Ann Drake founded AWESOME to advance and transform the future of supply chain leadership by bringing together senior women leaders in supply chain for connecting, learning, collaboration, recognition, and inspiration. Over time, AWESOME became the preeminent U.S. community for senior women in supply chain as well as a source of scholarships, mentorship and education for female college students majoring in supply chain as their chosen career.
Now, we’ve woven AWESOME into the WLC and are integrating its strengths and network with our growing organization. As such, it will continue to be a center of global supply chain expertise. And its founding mission still applies: To support women to advance and transform the future of supply chain leadership— an industry we see as key in the broader “ecosystem” of strategic focus areas where we believe women have so much to contribute.
Simply, we are consolidating resources to better support women leaders in cross-disciplinary collaboration, bold thinking, and positive impact. We’re proud to bring forward the historic legacy of AWESOME and its network — and build on its contributions as we imagine the future of women’s leadership.
